History

FROM FASHION SHOW TO BRAND EXPERIENCE

Since summer of 2016, Avantgrade Communications Qatar W.L.L. is operating as an independent company from the Avantgarde network. Avantgarde didn’t start as an agency: Back in 1985, CEO Martin Schnaack and a few friends launched a fashion show in Munich. Being an enthusiastic 21-year-old he ignored the cliquey, conservative fashion industry and created a unique show that quickly became a platform for young designers, a meeting place for VIPs and a giant party all rolled into one. Over the years, the show attracted and engaged an ever-growing audience. The team also learnt the hard way how to stay within a given budget (they lost 50 grand on the first show).

In 1991, out of the knack for involving the show’s corporate sponsors into the visitor experience, the company evolved into an event-marketing agency - Avantgarde Gesellschaft für Kommunikation mbH. And we didn’t stop there: the company continued to progress, just like our clients and their customers did.

Avantgarde Communications Qatar W. L. L. was founded by Avantgarde Munich & Lagoon Qatar W. L . L. in January 2011 and the MD Markus Hofmeister alone started the Avantgarde mission of Creating Fans. Since summer of 2016, Avantgrade Communications Qatar W.L.L. is operating as an independent company from the Avantgarde network.

As known, Qatar is the fastest-growing economy in the Middle East. It has a clear national vision and an impressive event calendar that includes the 2022 Football World Cup and around 40 international sports competitions. In response, Avantgarde Qatar creates innovative concepts that connect businesses with their customers and in turn, makes them loyal fans. And loyalty withstands time. As a result, eight years later, we are one of the leading agencies and continue creating loyal brand experiences across a variety of industry segments.
